Victorian Phones

It is fascinating how different eras of history are remembered for the styles that were most popular at the time. We can take the Victorian era as an example. The mention of this particular era of history calls to mind intricately carved furniture, ornate parquet floors, detailed wood-work, elegant dresses, and rotary telephone handsets. Such pieces are today considered valuable antiques, and the style is considered traditional and classy. This is probably why so many people choose to decorate their homes with them. Each successive generation likes to imagine that they embody the best of the past, as well as the promise of the future. Adopting highlights of the Victorian style is seen as adding its best qualities, its elegance and beauty, to one's own style.
